Nature is an amazing thing. I wonder if it's a learned behaviour or the bird just "knew" how to sew!

I did know about these smart little birds. She is a great seamstress. Nature evolves in some wonderful ways, birds in particular, like our little sunbirds who put a little porch roof over their nest entrance.

Birds in general are amazing I wonder if I can teach the budgies to clear up after themselves! They can be called poopy-cleaning birds..

I had heard of these once! Amazing.
Here in South Carolina, USA, there are Brown-Headed Cowbirds. They lay their eggs in other birds's nests, leaving them for those parents to raise. Many species of other birds will raise the Cowbird chicks, while some might push the strange eggs out, or abandon the whole nest (including their own eggs). Some say that the loud call of the Cowbird chicks can make the whole nest more vulnerable to predators. Many of us think this species is a pest!

Sounds like our cuckoo bird that visits, they lay one egg in another birds nest which hatches in a relatively short time, when it does hatch it pushes the other eggs or chicks out. Also considered a parasite but could potentially also be on the endangered list. I can’t decide if these two birds are very naughty, lazy or clever, all three I think 😂

I feel so sorry for the parent birds.

Me too, poor little mites are working their socks off to feed monsters 10 times the size of themselves, just goes to show how dedicated parent birds are bless them.
