Have just bought some Avimix for Buddy , but find the instructions a bit difficult. It’s says one pinch per kilo of bird. I just have Buddy, and blow the husks off his seed daily and top his seed up. I don’t want to overdose him……Any ideas please? One very small pinch a day? Every day? I am hoping someone else uses it and can advise please. He isn’t ill , but not the greatest at trying new veg, and won’t touch any fruit!! He likes most herbs and loves broccoli but that is about it…..hence why I have bought the Avimix.

I'm sorry, I don't use avimix, that does sound very confusing.
I use the avipro avian in their water twice a week, was recommended to me by a vet. It mixes in and the birds don't seem to mind. They also have iodine in their water once a week and milk thistle twice, calcivet once.
George is 11, so it cannot have done them any harm.

I'm using a regimen that is similar to Marianne's. Using supplements in the water us very easy and pretty much bulletproof.

I use Avimix with a single bird. I sprinkle the tiniest amount on each day. I have heard some people with just the 1 or 2 birds that put it in a salt shaker & use that. I sprinkle it on his seeds except on chop days when it goes on there.
