I got them organic green peas that actually came in pods i was wondering how to feed it to them? better raw or cooked and what about the pods? I’m gonna remove the peas from the pods Or should I give them full pods? Like green beans ? I would appreciate your assistance I tried googling but found many opinions and honestly I trust this forum more than Google 🥰

My boys have all loved peas, especially Sam, I remove them from the pod, mine have all eaten them out of my hand.
I always gave them raw, I have heard other member give the peas in the pod and their birds have enjoyed these too, mine never ate the pod.

My birds will eat the peas out of the pods and then chew on the pods afterwards - the peas seem to be the main attraction. I’ve tried snap peas, not a favourite, but snow peas go down a treat. I think because they are sweeter. Always raw, if possible.

Occasionally I warm frozen peas and carrots (a mixture sold at most stores), lightly pat those with a paper towel, then use our small food processor to semi-chop. Or just a knife and cutting board. Our birds eat a good amount of peas this way, and some of the carrots. Fresh is still the first choice, but this is a decent option to use once in a while. ** To warm frozen vegetables, I boil water separately, then slowly pour it over the vegetables in a bowl. Wait about two minutes, then drain.

Very useful tip 😃 👍thank you Actually my birds didn’t go near it (with grated carrots and cucumbers) so I tried with Homer I peeled and squeezed and squished then I bit a piece so he tried it from my hand, I couldn’t tell if he liked it though 😁 The next day I put some peas in the chopper with carrots and dill (Homer’s ultimate favorite) with some beets and radish as well and thankfully they ate from it (mix in pic attached) I’m gonna chop the rest and freeze them in bags for later use, especially when they need protein I appreciate all your input and help ❤️🐥🥰
