Hi
I have been looking on here for behaviour issues, but none that are similar to my budgie, Roman. She has already laid infertile eggs this year, I am not sure if she is going to lay them again and that is the reason for her behaviour.
But her behaviour is usually happy and she enjoys being close to me when she is out but then the next day for maybe about a week or two she is moody, bites, doesn't want to be touched, and doesn't want interaction at all. This behaviour doesn't happen often but when it does she wants to be left alone, which is unusual because she is a social bird and enjoys people.
Her behaviour isn't a major concern but I wanted more information about it because her behaviour at times is not like her.

Sounds like Roman is being a bit hormonal.
That's as far as I got!

I agree with Loz, it does sound like hormonal behaviour.

How old is she, how do you two interact when she is playing nice, how long between biting episodes, have you taken notice of the appearance of her cere before, during and after her bitey periods? Has she ever had a cage mate? Does she have plenty to keep her occupied both in and out of the cage?
