Hi everyone New to this but looking for some advice please? Stevie G is worrying me a little His/her? Unsure tbh I bought it as a boy then the cere completely changed to brown and now we have half and half? 🤷🏻♀️ Stevie does talk a little and is really bonded to my partner … The droppings have changed this last week, not green with white, they have got lighter and lighter as days have past Still eating, screeching, drinking, flying etc but seems to sneak in an extra nap now? No tail bobbing or clicking at moment but I kno how these little birds will hide illness I’ll attack a pic of him/her and some poop Please help if u can and if u believe I need to go to the vet please just say 🙏🏻

More sleep and nearly white dropping would suggest the budgie is unwell. I think you should book a visit with an avian vet to be on the safe side.

If the difference is something you have noticed, act on it. You know your bird best, and a change in poop that can’t be explained away by something your bird has been fed (do check that there isn’t something she may have been nibbling on and shouldn’t) then definitely make an appointment. In the meantime leave your hen on a fresh-food-free diet for a day or two and see if that makes any difference. Sometimes it can simply be something not good in their fresh veg, and this also takes a fair component of water intake out of the equation.

Hi 👋🏻 Pleased to report that we went to the vet and nothing conclusive which we are delighted to hear 🙏🏻😇
Still unsure of sex though due to cere being half and a very pale half of blue (4 years old now)
Excited to report that poops are going back to a darker shade of green and the only other bit of advice was to wake baby earlier and put him/her to bed earlier which has been implemented asap
My other budgies Kukis anniversary today 5 years since he gained his Angel wings (Fly high my baby 🌈❤️)
Thanks for the support and counting down to world budgie day on 21st March 🥰

I'm very glad that the vet said your budgie is healthy and the dropping are getting back to normal, that is great news I hope Kuki is enjoying some millet at rainbow bridge with some of my budgies that have passed.

A brown cere means a hen, as does a light blue cere (hen out of breeding condition) but to be certain post a photo so we can see.
