Buddy has just finished a really heavy moult that lasted a couple of weeks. He is now very quiet and listless, am I am wondering what I can do to help him…..He continually itches and I have managed to get him to have a couple of baths ( he likes to go under a running tap of tepid water) but he hates being sprayed……….I have offered him hard boiled egg but he won’t touch it. He is eating his normal food and I am giving him Guardian Angel …..any suggestions of what I can do to help him?

Poor Buddy. I've had a budgie or two knocked for six by a heavy moult. They take time to come out of it but it's good you've raised this, Ladybird.
Hopefully someone can come in with a helpful bit of advice. It sounds to me like you have taken reasonable steps with bathing and GA.

Give him a little tonic seed ladybird , they need that extra little boost during and after a heavy moult, it has extra nutrients. Only offer as a once a week treat at other times though.

If he won’t eat hard-boiled egg, try commercial eggfood. If you are having chicken any time soon boil a little bit for him and see if he will eat it. Sweet potato is also a good source of many vitamins.

He has dried egg food, I change it twice a week. Will try him with sweet potato. He likes most of the herbs and cress , but broccoli is the only veg he will eat. He has tonic seed twice a week too………Today he has had a lovely bath…….He came into the kitchen and sat looking at the tap….so I ran some tepid water and cupped my hands together and he jumped in and got himself really soaked. He must feel better now and he doesn’t seem to be shedding as much dander….
