Thank you, M. Yeah looks like a couple missing from the tip of one wing; shouldn’t keep him out of the air though. mrlogout31, the rest of the feathers look neat and in place, in good condition so there is not obvious indication that the bird has any disease. Normal moulting should be starting to happen about now. Has this one ever flown? On a normal, well muscled, well-exercised bird those couple of missing flights would not be an issue, but if this one has never been airborne, hopefully it is simply that it hasn’t been exercised enough, rather than a problem with the wing’s physiology.

Some sad news today I came down stairs to find my friend looking for my beloved budgie, sadly he escaped the house and flew away (The first time we have seen him fly). I managed to find him in the park but he was unfortunately dead on the floor, by the time I got over to him the crow that was attacking him picked him up and flew away. How will this affect the health of my other budgie? They used to spend all day with each other and were practically inseparable when out of the cage.
