I certainly have today . For years we've had a pair of wood pigeon's build their ramshackled nest of twigs and raise their one sometimes two babies in our Bramley apple tree, sometimes a couple of times a year. The said apple tree had got so big and the general pruning every other year wasn't enough any more so in Feb we decided to have it more or less pollarded, do i feel bad, YES, very bad. They've been cutting me daggers, sorry P's

They’ll find an alternative. They’re resourceful
Have you seen the Hitchcock film The Birds? lol

I felt very guilty when we got our allotment and chopped down the brambles at the back that were taller than me and had been there for 10 years. The birds were quite put out by that. We are growing a hedge along the back to make up for it but it's going to be a few more years before it's good for nesting in.

It did have that Alfred Hitchcock vibe Fran 😂
They’ve obviously moved on to pastures new today, saw them in my neighbours silver birch, he will be pleased 🤦🏻♀️😁
