Hiya all I was talking to a man who also breeds birds and he said the best thing to put on outside flight is sand on top of pavings, does anyone else use this?

I wouldn't do that. It can easily go into their food and water.

Oh rite, he sed it's easier to clean them out and gud for them with have grit in, won't be able to go into food or water as I Dnt put them outside Dnt want it attracting any little visitors if u know wot I mean

Sand can be a breeding ground for insects. It can also causes irritation to eyes. Trust me we have plenty here

Also that budgies require soluble grit and not insoluble.

I wouldn't bother using sand in an outside flight. I simply have solid floor tiles that have been grouted and the flight gets washed out once a week or more often in warm weather.
