We have been busy sorting out bits and bobs for the outdoor aviary.....St. Cuthbert's House now has Hilda and Henry visiting during the day.....and once we are back off holiday we have plans on adding birds.....we have a few things to sort out for the inside flight.....but I must ask.....where is a good place to get toys for an outdoor aviary as we would like a revolving swing that we have seen in other aviaries.....and rope perches....and what is a good floor cleaner safe for aviaries.....now for the pictures: Front of aviary with doors...... Solar panel for indoor light..... Doors to inside flight...... Doors open and floor clean before Hilda and Henry come to play.....the box in the corner will go outdoors once we have done their inside box.....the flooring we found at B & Q for £5.00.....has come in handy for other parts of the aviary..... Door to inside flight.....we used the flooring to cover the door for added waterproofing.....Hilda and Henry have the same type door..... Door open.....the screws will be put in their place soon..... Birdbath.....also known as Hilda and Henry's favorite hiding place..... Peek-a-boo.....Henry Hilda battering a veggie..... My boy Henry.... Mess.....what mess..... More mess.....but they are a happy handful..... Henry in the box.....with Hilda's bottom.....

It's all looking great In my opinion the toys should be placed high and in one corner only so the flying space should not be cramped.

It looks wonderful. Hilda and Henry are just checking it all out - trial run, you might say - to make sure there are no issues. And to make sure it allhas been well christened before budgies move in, lol. ;D

It took us 6 months after buying our fish tank to find just that perfect rock to finish off the tank... ;D...so we are taking our time with finding perches and such for the outside and inside....but we do agree with BB about only having things in one corner so that their flight path is not limited.....we did think of putting a perch on the back of the door to the flight.....it is a work of love and we are enjoying batting ideas around.....
And you are all welcome to come and visit.... ;D
