Apparently not, Sam The curtain looked a little chewed, BB, with little holes where he'd moved the fibres with the point of his beak, like he does to all my tops XD The only problem was he started doing the weird cough-sneeze noise a lot and acting like he was going to regurgitate and I noticed a sequin was missing... They are quite big though, so I don't think he would have swallowed it as he doesn't normally with stuff like that, and they have been in the washing machine before so hopefully nothing bad. Sadly I'm now having to keep chasing him off them just in case, which is a shame because it was funny to watch and meant that he was exploring some more at last

I would watch out for those sequins. That's just the sort of thing that mine would eat and get into all sorts of problems with.

I know Stace, that's why I'm trying to be careful. Luckily, there are lots of areas missing sequins so they probably just came off in the wash, but I did find a small piece of one on the floor this morning, although it was a long way from the curtains so I don't know how it got there. Definitely going to try to get him to stop climbing on those for his own sake as well as mine because I worry about him a lot ^^ Hopefully he'll become more interested in his new gym

It may be worth taking them down for a while, if he is being stubborn about going there. Lovely photos, though, Ira. Why is it the fun things that are never any good for us?!?!

Oh dear, hope it is nothing too serious and it was just the washing machine that chewed your curtains. Think about what they can do to your bra afterall!

Well, he hasn't touched them today, but we've found a solution We just put a book at both ends of the windowsill and he doesn't touch them Thanks Mick, that means a lot to me ;D

Such a simple solution! How did you come up with that?

He's now flying onto the curtains instead. Nan won't take the curtains down because she refused to move anything when her children were little. So now if he chokes on a sequin it's his own fault. We keep chasing him off but he just goes straight back. Hopefully if I make a tall tree thing then he'll ignore the sequins :/
I wanted to put the tree on the cage stand, though, so I don't know where I'll put the play gym after that. If I could encourage him to play on it in the other room it could go on his cage or on my desk, but he doesn't seem inclined to use it in there and I wanted to make another tree for my room.
I shall have to think. Maybe there is somewhere I can find to put it where he might use it. He probably wouldn't even use a tree in my room unless I take him in there a lot, but I'll make one for him anyway. Gives him somewhere to go if I take him in there once he's used to the room.
