Trill is great but I cannot afford it. I buy a 20kg sack of seed for £25 and give them that. Okay so it doesn't have the vits that trill has but I give them plenty of fresh veg and other things too. £1.25 per kg. Trill works out at £3.10 per kg. Wow! I am amazed, Marianne! That's about double our price. I get a 2kg box for just over $6. Just for the record, in case anyone else has heard of it and is thinking of trying, it was recommended to me to try canary mix to try to keep the weight off, but all I found was that the canary mix had more of the small dark seeds in it which my birds don't eat, so I was throwing out more than before. I tried leaving the left-overs in the dish hoping they would cave in and give them a go, but I think they just got hungrier. I am not sure of the names of the smaller, darker seeds but there are a couple of different lots, in the budgie mix also.

I don't now which Trill is available in UK, but the Trill available here has very basic seeds and is not good at all.

Are you sure that they didn't recommend Canary Seed? It's higher in protein than the other seeds I think. That is this seed in your mix: Trill is great but I cannot afford it. Ours has oats, mixed millets, canary seed and extra vitamins and iodine. This is the one we have here: I don't now which Trill is available in UK, but the Trill available here has very basic seeds and is not good at all.

If I could afford to, my budgies would still have it.

I think ours and UK version are pretty much the same, (and Stace, you are Sydney.....we are the a*** end of the country. Marianne, without going back and double-checking, I am not sure but don't think so! But anyway, Smudge doesn't seem to have the weight problem she did have, and flies a lot better

That bowl looks like it has sunflower seeds in it.
Why would Trill change their product for the middle east?
