I think I might have the same problem soon. The youngest of our 6 chicks is only 12 days old and I've just seen the hen and cock mating again already. I don't want them to lay again so do I still remove any eggs if laid because there's at least 16 days before the last chick fledges?

Well Evie is no longer laying eggs. Bella started laying eggs so I took her nestbox away and since then she has laid one egg on the cage floor, I'm hoping there won't be any more. All the chicks are doing well

Well Evie is no longer laying eggs. Bella started laying eggs so I took her nestbox away and since then she has laid one egg on the cage floor, I'm hoping there won't be any more. All the chicks are doing well if theres more just pop them under another hen if you got one with eggs ...if there no good they will not hatch but if they are lush more chicks..... ;D.
