Do you have for your birds? Be it places to perch, perches themselves, or things to play with. Pictures would be fun too

Hi - I bought a play gym from Zooplus which my two are beginning to use and a very close friend made a 'play tree' for me with some wood and doweling from B & Q. I have a box of coloured buttons for future use (they are not ready yet the birds that is!!!) I will see if I can attach a pic of the play tree which I have hung a 'boing' on! Attachments:

This is the gym from Zooplus. I am sure you will find loads of other toys on another thread from the other forum guys - they are brilliant at making them and so cheaply too. Attachments:

Wow, those are amazing! I have a similar playgym that I bought from Amazon and my granddad helped me knock together a play tree but it's nowhere near as professional as yours. I'll have to see about getting a boing and hope that the tree will stay upright if I put it on XD I have an assortment of buttons that I need to go about putting onto Munchy's old toys that he was breaking apart. He generally only likes noisy or shiny toys though, unless they're ones that you put on a solid surface. Will have to use his old bells, I think ^^ I need to find some more things to make toys with and also ideas for things to make with the random oddments I currently have lying around. One of my biggest problems is finding things made out of stainless steel. It makes DIY things harder when it comes to using dowels and things, because I can't screw them together with anything. Does anyone have any toys or thigns that they've bought that they would recommend? Doing the christmas shopping for Munchy's presents soon.

Ira, you should be able to buy stainless steel screws. You may need to go through the whole screw section of your hardware store, but they should be there. If you go through the other threads in this section, and the cage set-up thread in the cage and aviary section you should find heaps of inspiration. Good luck - sounds like Munchy is going to get a spoiling.

I'll have to try looking in the shop sometime. I looked online and there were plenty of stainless steel ones, but they were all coated in zinc. Thanks Hezz I'll have to make notes ^^ Yup! I'm certainly planning on spoiling him rotten ;D
