Sorry I have not been on here for a while but we have been busy :-) We have just rescued a 16 year Old shih tzu called ivy from a rescue Without being to doom and gloom her owner died and her other family let her down with her care were she was found by the council were she was put in a pound. Thin and unloved she found her way to a rescue were now we have adopted her she can now live with the peace and quite with ppl that love her she is a lil star even though she is blind and deaf she lives a full life of getting into the dog cupboard and eatting some treats lol

Aw her story started out sad but has a happy ending! That's great news that you have adopted her. I hope you have many many years of love and joy with her.

Awww, well done for adopting this little girl. So few people would take on a dog of that age and i think that's sad, they just need a warm and loving place to call home.

It is terribly sad when an elderly pet loses it's elderly owner(s). Well done you for the rescue.

Good on you Liz. If I didn't live in the middle of a big city, I'd have a menagerie by now. The only reason I have my budgie is because he flew in lost from out in the big wide world and danced on my head when he was a baby.
