Maestro is fine,Sue. But I don't have anymore updates. They haven't gone home yet, as far as I know, but my uncle's son is keeping an eye on things.

They went home yesterday afternoon. Some of the national park is still burning apparently, and there were some storms around this morning. Hoping that will mean rain, not lightning strikes!!!

Oh that's great news they have been able to return, but its so horrible there's still fires going on in the national park.how can people be so stupid to create these fires. Samwiseg we do complain about our weather so much and poor Australia are losing their beautiful countryside because stupid people starting fires. Sue

Not all fires are started by people. Many are started by storms - lightning strikes into dry bushland. Or even dry grass.
Monday, our forecast: extreme weather warning - cyclone warning (not really, it was only a pup), flash flooding, torrential downpours; the southern part of the country: extreme weather warning - very high fire danger, total fire ban, high winds and occasional thunderstorm. Couldn't be much different!

Unfortunately for us all here in Australia, this is typical for this time of year, BB.
