In terms of setup, I think perch is most important.
In terms of food, seeds and water are most important.

Contamination of soft food and water - bacteria grow faster with heat. Dehydration if their water gets too hot. Apparently they won't drink if the water is hot? I find that a little hard to believe, but..... Apparently overheating can cause fits. Is this true? all true Hezz Sorry, I missed the second page! A little late but better than nothing!

A budgie can sit on the bottom of the cage, but won't live long without food or water.
