We have moved Jenny and Ollys cage or George and Mildred as my hubby calls them from by the radiator while we have had this cold snap because we needed to turn the radiator on. Now I am thinking of getting a larger cage like the Piano 7 in white and hopefully put them in the larger cage along with Beauty and Snowy in a few weeks time as the cage could go on the sideboard and instead of having 3 cages in the house just have the one. Do you think the piono 7 would be ok for 4 budgies ? I also like the Mara Skyline . I have to have a cage that fits on top of the sideboard as there isnt anywhere else for a large one on legs to go unless by the radiator which is why we have had to move the cage and stand now

The Ferplast Piano 7 is: L 97 x W 58 x H 83cm
Sounds big enough for 4. I'd love to be able to afford to get one of these for my lot... It's great cage.
I do not know about the other cage, not heard of it.

I see. Personally, I would not buy a wooden cage. Harder to clean, plus would get nibbled on by my lot.
Also the Ferplast is bigger..

My thoughts too, Marianne. They look good, but I would doubt their practicality. My lot would chew too and then they are munching on varnish ........ not good.

Ok thanks .. maybe the piano 6 would be better Hi Julie - I have the piano 6 and it is a brilliant. I have two budgies in it at present (will be four at the weekend). The measurements of the cage are 33" wide (84cm) 27" high (68cm) and 17" deep (43cm). I do believe it would be suitable for 6 bugies, providing you give them all flight time of course.

As I understood it Hezz, if the birds come from the same breeder they don't have to be quarantined. Is that right?? Not sure where I got that information from tho.

Quarantine is very important Shirl, even if they come from the same breeder, as Stace said you never know what has gone on since you last had the others and every bird has a risk of carrying something which could affect all of them. It is hard but not worth risking your existing birds. It will be easier if you are getting two as they will have company, it was hard with Inca having to be on her own but worth the piece of mind .

Yes, as Stace and Skysmum have said: only if they come from the same breeder at the same time.
