Maybe this all has been stress related. Did the vet mention anything about giving her probiotics as well? It is not a bad idea to give her these, used to be once the AB's were finished, but there have been a vet or two, and a doctor saying to give them at the same time. Another thing to have on hand for these stressful times and as a pick up for sickly birds is Guardian Angel. Have a look: www.birdcareco.com/English/TheBirdCareCompany/ProductInformation/Guardian-Angel

The powder she got for water sounds similar to the guardian angel, its got vitamins, fibre and somethings I cant remember iv left house at moment, it says a dose for general pick me up and a different dose for stressed birds, the vets got her on stressed bird dose, what would you give for probiotics, vet didn't mention this, angel was a lot perkier this morn and giving her syringe went better, will be a pro by time 10 days is over. I think it is stress, don't know what causing it, she came over to be hand fed day before she got ill, she copying meeko and has never done it before, I was in tears after 5 years she finaly done it, but she was obviously nervous and really pushed herself, could this have possibly caused stress? But I didn't force her she came to me, iv even settled for just stick training because she so scared of hands

She wouldn't stress herself to the extent of making herself sick, to please you, so don't worry. Birds are not like dogs where they would do almost anything even without being asked. She came to you, not you forcing her into anything. This isn't the cause; in fact possibly the opposite - she may have come to you because she knew she wasn't right. As for the probiotics, I know Guardian Angel has probiotics added, but I don't know what else you could offer her. And whatever the vet gave you may already have them as well. The best thing to do is ask the vet - they have a course of treatment in mind and you really shouldn't add other things without discussing it with them while Angel is being treated. Check the powder when you get a chance and see what it says. Otherwise put the question to your vet.

Thanks that does make me feel better, maybe she still missing sky, I feel heartbroken for her. Yesterday was 1st time I had to leave her since she been ill and she didn't eat a thing until I got home, an she was on floor when I got home, she just gone on floor now as I'm leaving for work again. So worried about her again can't wait to spend all day tending to her every need tomorrow. I double checked her powder it is probiotic aswell so looks like she getting all she needs so 1 less worry. Iv never had a sick bird before any iv had have lived til old age, died suddenly or sky who escaped so this hard to see, wish she could tell me how she feeling and what made her sad

Well my baby was very ill again when I got home from work, hadn't eatten all day again. I placed millet in front of her an she ate that, got energy up an she stopped shaking, give her anti biotics, after an hour she started to eat her seeds herself, even had to fetch her more sunflower seeds as they her favourite. She been much perkier since, she had a fly and even had 2 poos much nearer her normal colour, I got week off now so she has her mummy. I guess just as you can't expect a sick person be able to fend for themselves birds need round the clock nurse aswell, please let my girl pull though still not over sky going missing

It is good that you are going to be able to keep an eye on her for the next few days. You know, it may be worth getting her to the vet for a crop feed or two, if that is possible. Maybe even keep her in overnight so they can monitor her. It sounds as though she is very up and down; I find that rather worrying. You may have to keep badgering her with food to keep her eating for the short while. Cockatiels are much more clingy by nature than budgies, and hopefully having you on hand for a few days will help her anxiety as well.

She's looking fantastic today, acting completely normal 2, although yes I really have 2 badger her to eat, she was chirping to come out I was saying once youve had your breakfast, if only she could understand me she soon eat. She then got really impatient and done her crazy running back an for in front of cage thing, so had to rush her Eatting by sticking millet in her face again. Once she starts her running thing she don't give up until I let her out and gets swollen feet so always gets her way when she does that. She didn't look so ruffled after anti biotics today so may be getting used to it, She happy having little fly now, but only allowing her short outings so she near food and water most day. Think I may take her in garden 4 some air she loves that
