My first Hagen cage, ive wanted one for a long time but just couldn't decide what to do with my lot. I was going to get a large flight cage but after Jo's, night of hell , decided a large flight cage was out of the question. Now i have Chilli, i want him to bond with Inca so i will be separating those two from the others, they will be next to each other still and get time out together but it will be 3 in one and 2 in the other for the winter. Im very excited

I had to go with the medium SQ because the large is just too big to go where i want it sadly . I think this will be fine for 2 buds though with their out time.

I have 2, one for my bud and one for my conure. Conures are a bit bigger than Budgies but it's plenty big enough for him.

I take it that this is a Hagen vision? I have 2, they are great cages but a bit of a pain to lug into the bath and clean!

Yes marianne, ive wanted one since they first came out, long time, but ive had mixed feelings about them. The cleaning does seem to be an issue along with clips pinging off, plus i don't understand why they don't put a higher side door on them. Time will tell, nothing ventured, nothing gained aye .

They are good cages though and the plastic bit at the bottom does stop the feathers from flying out everytime a budgie hits the deck.

Well i was like a child on Christmas Morning today, its arrived. However it has just taken me an hour and half to build it , the beeeeeep side clips were a killer. I have arthritic thumbs and i just could not get the the beeeep things on, Anyway i managed in the end but can see why people complain about them springing off, if you don't click them in properly your done for. It wont be going in situ until Chilli has done his quarantine and i wont put him in it incase of contamination should he have anything nasty. Beautiful cage though, just a couple of questions. Do you Hagen guys use the plastic perches and also i have never liked using the wire grates at the bottom, i also think it will make cleaning easier if i dont and just put the newspaper on the plastic base.
