Not strictly on the late blossoming exhibition bird, but they do look very different at six months. Little chickadee. And later, the big beefy boy.

Can't you still see potential in those birds, even as chicks? For me, potential is most noticeable in pictures 1 and 3. The mask and head feathers are already showing good length and height.

I can see the potential before they reach 28 days old Hezz, after that some mature and blossom into exhibition birds , others never reach their full potential

the yellow faced blues tend to change dramatically as they mature. The changes in Barrie's photos are remarkable, particularly in 1 and 2

As Barrie said difference from 6 weeks to 6 months sometimes is unbelievable. Nev has some pictures which show very dramatic color change.
