I'm guessing, still learning, as I haven't gotten the hang of this really ...... yellow-face opaline ....... from these photos, I am guessing cobalt, rather than sky-blue ..... are those shots a good representation of his body colour??? Or is he more like the signature colour? In which case I'd call him sky-blue.

During the daylight I think this is the best result of his color!

So my rather uneducated guess is yellow-face (type 1) opaline cobalt.

I would def agree with the yellow face (type 1) opaline bit but I cant decide whether sky or cobalt! He is certainly beautiful The opaline bit comes from the pattern on his wings - round the black loops or bars on his wings they are coloured blue (like his body colour) instead of white. My Barney is an opaline: Where is Alfie is just a sky (This was a younger one of Alfie)

wow a cobalt budgie amazing normally you get only the normal green or blue ones in a pet shop, but the Canoga Discount Birds had quite amazing variety in color. :-) BTW. yesterday I was at Petco and saw a beautiful budgie baby. He had a coloration that I never saw before. Many different colors all over his feathers. I wonder why I did not see him before. Well he was sleeping yesterday and wasn't very active, so maybe I just overlooked him the last time I was there to check their birds. Anyway, I am very happy to have a Opaline cobalt budgie

From what I have noticed, cobalt seems to be more common than sky-blue. Not that detracts from Finfin at all. BudgiesBuddy, I am feeling another little jig coming upon me ...... YAY!! I have scored again!!
