That would be 1975, Marianne?
I am actually doing okay, to set the record straight, but have to constantly have a bottle of water with me as I suffer terrible dehydration headaches......apparently that's an age thing too....
Thank you Brian, he doing okay at the moment, but long-term........we will see.

Hello, I'm adding to this, although I'm not really a wrinkly at 48, but on the previous forum I posted a catalogue of illnesses and accidents which qualified me for this thread The latest is my kidney problems - again! I had it 6 years ago and spent 11 days in hospital, having 2 operations, the 2nd to remove the kidney stone through my back. I then developed blood clots and was very poorly. Well, 3 weeks ago I felt that familiar horrendous pain, and ended up back in hospital on morphine and a drip. After a CT scan and checking my urine - which had blood in it - they discovered I have 3 stones in my right kidney this time. One is high up - we knew about this one and I've had 2 lithotripsy treatments on it which didn't work, but the other two have worked through the kidney to the bladder, which is what caused the excruciating pain. They kept me in overnight, then allowed me home with pain killers, in the hope that the stones will pass. I'm still getting the odd wave of pain, but nothing as bad as it was, and I don't know if the stones have gone yet. I have a hospital appointment on 5th December for another CT scan, and I guess they'll take things from there. It was this time of year 6 years ago that the left kidney had problems - weird! Kat x

So no "ping" in the pot yet, Kat? Sorry to hear, renal stones are excruciating! Worse for men though, I hear (or is it that they are wusses??? ). My hub had one about 10-12 years ago and the amount of morphine he was on should have knocked him out! Hope those wretched little urates have gone their merry way. Good luck!

I even found a meaning on google : A weak or ineffectual person (often used as a general term of abuse). But we Aussies have a habit of insulting people we like. If we don't insult you, you know you haven't cut the mustard.
