Over the winter while ive had the buds inside the aviary has been undergoing a bit of a revamp when time permitted for long suffering OH. Its being fully insulated, after six years , there are still bits to do. The main living area is being completed today and weve still got to cover the poly in my section but its coming on .

Looking good skysmum. I'm trying to persuade Mrs H to have an outdoor aviary. Perhaps I'll start the build in the summer time. I have a 7x5 shed but it is full of stuff, so no doubt that'll all end up in the garage. Do you have an outdoor flight attached? I'm thinking of including one which will be the length of the shed but only 3 or 4 feet wide, still plenty big enough. The inside of the shed will be half and half. Half for indoor flight and the other half for me and breeding cages etc. Keep us posted on your progress Darren

Thankyou its coming on. Yes the outside flight is built in, see pic 1, its accessed by a bob hole from inside. I just KNOW you will end up with one in the garden .

It's looking good! I have plans to do some work on my aviary this year, mainly new perches and new flooring.

All looking great. Good work by OH So does this mean that this is their last winter inside? Ohhhh i wouldn't say that BB . I love having them in it brightens my winter. It was getting a bit drafty in there, and we all know what drafts can do , tiny gaps appearing where its getting old but that has all been sorted and it is now draft free and very cosy .

Thanks for sharing the photos. It looks brilliant! I like the perches... mine have natural perches - I did try posh-job ones but someone's beak took a shine to them and I couldn't keep up with the regular replacements. Anymore photos on their way? I love being nosey and looking at other peoples aviaries... gives me ideas to improve my own.

It must feel a bit strange when they all get put out in the garden for the summer. At least you'll have old Jo to keep you company.
