I don't know if I'm being dramatic and hope the photo is clear enough to show what I mean. Apples nails used to be clear. I know there's a blood vessel inside their nails but it looks like he has blood growing down the the clear bit, like it's leaking inside his nail. Can anyone notice what I mean in my photo? The dark bits are blood on the inside. Should I take him to the vet to check this or am I being a worry wart?

My budgies feet are like that. It is IMO just the quick that is inside the claw, and nothing to worry about.

What lovely little pink feet Apple has! I am sure his claws are fine. It is very easy to see the blood vessel ...... you know exactly where you are if you even did need to clip his claws.

They look fine to me! Lots of lovely natural wood perches are the thing to keep Apple's feet and claws in good shape.

Thanks, I worry too much! It was just because that blood never used to be there I was worried he was bleeding inside.
Sarah, it's wooden perch kingdom in my house though the little munchkins most of the time prefer perching on the metal tops of the big cage (as seen in photo above!) that any lying down on top of picture frames on my walls!

It's always good to ask if you're worried. Even if it ends up being nothing.
