Hello,
my budgies had a molt in October, then in January, and now they're in molt again. Looks like it affects some more than the others. One budgie lost all his tail and feathers all around the body, so that he has lots of white patches on his blue belly. He also looks under the weather, it's his usual way during the molt with being really full of beans when it's all over. Others are not as bad.
It can't be normal, can it. It must be some nutrient deficiency or hormonal imbalance, surely? I try hard to give them the best. Leafy green vegetables every day, egg food at least once a week with Feather Up mixed in, from the start of the year I add Potent Brew and some Calcivet into their water. In between these molts budgies are very active and full of life, right now they are quieter.
What can it be? Thank you.

Oh, ok, I didn't know that. I read somewhere that they moult once or twice a year. SO, no need to worry. That's good.
Thank you.
