Yesterday morning I had a nasty shock. Going to check on Fawn and Caspian in their cage and change their water, I found Fawn on the bottom of the cage, stone cold. From what I could tell she hadn't broken her neck, and in the short time she had been with me, she had been busy and active, very happy for all I could tell. So to find her like that was very distressing. I've been keeping an sharp eye on Caspian, I'm worried whatever took away Fawn will take him too. Poor little mite seems a bit lost with out her. I called the place I bought them from, to inform them of Fawn's passing, in case she might have been carrying something. I was told over the phone that Fawn was actually a rescue. That she had been caught in a nearby park, probably an escapee, and brought to them. She had been treated, but sometimes things 'slip through the cracks'. I wasn' ?t told this initially. I bought Snow, Caspian and Fawn all from the same place, and they get their birds from a specific breeder down in Essex. I don't know if Fawn was from this breeder or from someone completely different. Either way... I feel pretty rotten. She had barely started her life and I feel that I let her down. That I didn' ??t notice signs she might have been giving out to tell me she wasn't feeling well. I'm so sorry little Fawn. I'm sorry we didn't get to know each other well, I was so looking forward to having you as part of my flock. You seemed so spunky and a bud that would take no nonsense. Someone to keep Snow and Caspian in line. I hope, where ever you are little miss, that you're happy and flying high.

I am so sorry. What a terrible shock. Even though her time with you was short, you gave her a loving home. Fly high little Fawn.

Rest in Peace, sweet beautiful Fawn. Keep her cute face and hapy song close to your heart, and she will be with you forever. They leave us much too soon. I am so sorry for your loss.

oh no! that is so sad... it does sound like a quick decline though for her, so you probably couldnt have done anything and she wouldn't have suffered.... poor Fawn... so sorry...
yes, let's hope Caspian is ok. it may well have not been a contagious thing and just her, sadly..

Fawn is telling everyone in Budgie Heaven what a wonderful life she had with you, even though it was much shorter than she would have wanted.

Gone far too soon, sweet Fawn. With this being so sudden, I am sure there was nothing more you could have done for her. At least her last days were filled with love and companionship. Rest in peace, Fawn.
