He might have been made weak clt80 by what he had as it takes a lot of energy to be able to fly during a period of illness and they should not be encouraged to do so whilst convalescing. However there could there also be that he is in moult too? As this would also make him feel a bit insecure and low as he needs energy to grow more feathers. However, it is something worth keeping an eye on but if he improves after the antibiotics then all well and good

His wings look fine, his feathers under his tail look a bit tatty from what I can see, that might make him unbalanced. Or as Sam said he may be weak from illness or the mites may have sucked a lot of his blood making him weak.

I have been applying scaly feet/beak lotion every other day (he hates it) and the ivermectin lotion has arrived today, the hubbie just rang to say it came in post so i can start treating the mites tonight. Fingers crossed he starts to get stronger.
