Hello everyone! I noticed that Natu has watery poop. I did not see him eating his normal food or drink since he is here (yesterday) He eats his millet like mad tho. Could this be the stress of yesterdays move? Because at the breeder and carriercage his poop was fine. *maybe I am a worried mommy * Thanks

It could be the move. I would remove the millet as he wont eat anything else all the time that is in there. He needs to get used to his seed as millet is fattening. Also try some fresh foods, fruit and veg.

Try giving him a piece of broccoli, (my boys love tenderstem broccoli) a piece of carrot, or sweetcorn.

Don't confuse him at the moment by giving him this that and the other in a short space of time. By all means leave a piece of something besides his seed. He needs to be weaned off the millet and back on to the seed. It is highly unlikely that he will starve to death. So when he is hungry he will eat the seed. Just keep an eye on his seed container and see if the conents get disturbed. You may not see him eat, but I'm fairly sure he will.

Right now I have 3 places of seeds and drink for him. On the bottom of the cage,at the usual spot on the outside and next to his perch as what the breeder used to do. We have just seen him eating from the seeds next to the perch

That is good news. The millet is to them like chocolate is to some of us. Now you know he won't starve and you can keep an eye on his poop.

jellybean: Do I get that at Asda? (the tenderstem broccoli or brocolie?)And I have carrot in the house Try him with a small piece of carrot if you have that, all budgies seem to like their carrot different ways, shredded, grated, or given whole, either clip it to the cage or through the cage bars. Mine like it whole, I peel it and give it a wash.
