Hello everyone, Natu entered his biting phase, but I do not know what I need to do again to teach him to stop biting. As soon as you open de cage he charges and when you try to get him on your finger he bites too. I know the biting phase is just like a toddlers terrible two's, but what to do again?

Personally I just let mine get it out their system, thankfully the bites aren't too hard. I know ffiscool had a terrible time with Bailey biting. Maybe she can offer some advice

Indeed I did. Still get it at times, if I am in his way! I tried all sorts, put him back in his cage, told him off, said No Biting... In the end I think he just grew out of it, to be honest. He even now says, don't bite, be nice - lol
Some others on here made progress with certain word commands repeatedly. I think that can def work, but obviously depends on the bud too.

Zazoe had his biting phase, and I told him off many of times, and he did stop biting too....but Natu is a different budgie and some times I think that I keep forgetting that.

I give mine a very short, sharp "ah" sound when they go to bite and if possible give them a gentle bop on the beak before they do so. With my serial biter I did this repeatedly many times a day for around a year before she got the idea that it wasn't a good idea! She still slips one in occasionally, and often for seemingly no reason, and then takes off as she knows I am going to come after her!
