Hello . Wonder if someone could give me any advice of my 19 week old . I have taken her to a vet 3times and gave me antibiotics as they said she got lung infection. Her tongue was swollen and gave me inflammatory drops as she had trouble breathing. She still pants now and then . Is this a sighn she may die on me ? I dont know why she have got this . I gave her honey in water sometimes . Vege and fruit and change her sandpaper regularly . She loves fresh millet . Her cage gets cleaned inside out every 4days . I love my budgie and I dont want nothing going wrong for her . Plus I leave her out of her cage every day .from 9 until 4 . Is there something I am doing wrong.Any advice please. Kind regards shanice.

One thing you can do is throw the sand paper away. It is no good for them. It hurts their feet. Maybe someone will be along later to tell you what could be wrong with your budgie. I am unable to say.

Sorry your budgie is sick. I ask again, did your budgie see an avian vet or a regular vet? Most regular vets have very little avian knowledge; there are the exceptions, but they are few. When did you take her to the vet for the first time, and when was the last time? If you have finished the AB's and you think she is still unwell, take these questions to the vet. They are the ones who have seen and treated your bird; we can only go on the little information you have provided.
