Thanks for the above, but he has eggfood available already. It isn't that he isn't eating or only pecking, pardon the pun, at his food; it is simply that he is soooo light and he goes back for another lot of anaesthetics on Friday. I haven't had a huge amount of success with any of mine with egg - they have a nibble but that's it, a bit the same as they are with eggfood. I was concerned about leaving him today while I was at work, worried that he might start flapping about when the others were flying about, so he spent the day with the girls at the vets. I think everyone enjoyed it. Sounds like he chirped and chortled his way through the day, and the girls visited and talked to him on their way about their day. I am happy, and so is he.

That is very good of the girls at the vets. It will have done Spyro a lot of good as well. People do step up to the mark sometimes.

Bless him getting his very own private suite with nurses , i envy you your vet practice, mine would probably charge an arm and leg for a service like that . Glad he is getting on ok.

I was really quite surprised that they didn't charge me for it, as well. I was prepared to pay (shhhhh, OH is having a conniption as it is over cost) but they said, no, he was no trouble at all, just took up a little bench space; they sat him near a window so he could look out. It was all very sweet, and a number of the nurses made mention that he whistled away, seemed bright and happy enough, and it was lovely to listen to him. I intend to ask if I may do the same next Monday, as it will only be a few days after his Friday knock-out and re-splinting. At least it is an option and gives me peace of mind. He is in his smaller no-perch cage next to the others in the big cage sitting in the sun - that has to feel good.

I think Spyro is definitely in the best hands at the vets, and between you and them he is going to get better so quick, he will wonder whats happened when he has fully recovered and loses his 'holiday' time with the nurses. Such brilliant news. Sitting in the sun must have a real 'feel good' factor too.

He's certain to get better with all this pampering, a great vet, the love of his Mum, and a good dose of sunshine. Lots of love to the wee guy.
