I'm so happy for you! How is Snow? Is he traumatised by his whole adventure? Or is it just you who is traumatised? I know I would be. Great news anyway!

Quite quiet and subdued, I think the whole thing has been quite intense for him. I'm going to keep a really close eye on him for the next few days. Sticking to seed and water diet for a few days to cler out anything in his system that he might have eaten while he was loose and then I'll get him back on his veggies. I'm hoping that once he's had a good rest he'll be back to his usual happy and busy self.

Oh no. Doorknock all your neighbours. Put fliers up on lampposts. Call local vet/pet stores nearby as it's where people report found birds. Call him out in your yard. I have a really loud bird-like call I've taught Boo exactly in case this ever happens to me. That's a good idea. Do you mean you have a call that boo will fly to you when he hears it? How did you go about that?

How did you go about that? When I'm in another part of the house, I can hear Boo calling out with his own contact call, so I made one of my own. It's a really really loud "Biddle de deep! Biddle de deep!" It lets him know where I am and he calls back to me when he hears it.

Just curious. How far away from home had he got to in one day?
