The vet suggested to many falls from a high place landing on the metal cage at the bottom but can not say for sure. Now that she was groomed as well (nails and wings) she is falling even more... Good thing she has a pillowy soft landing but still is so upsetting.

You are doing everything you can to keep her safe and comfortable. This shows how much you love her. Hope the treatment works. My best thoughts and prayers are with you and your little girl.

So I have decided to not give her the meds today because she is acting very strange from them and she is not talking or moving much so it scared me alittle. I am going to call the vet on Tuesday to see what the side effects are because the last thing I want to do is put her in harms way. They put her on Metacam, it is just too bad they can't tell you how they are feeling..

Oh no. So sorry to hear that. Do you think she could stand on flat perch comfortably? That way she wouldn't have to grip all the time. Maybe a rope perch would help too. I read somewhere it's like slippers for their feet. You might have both already of course. This website is very good and they will tailor make a perch to suit your birds needs. I hope the anti inflammatory helps. Xx www.naturalbirdco.co.uk

Sorry I didn't see their was a page 2 to read before I wrote my comment re the anti inflammatory. They are a worry. We care so much that we don't want them to feel ill. I wish they could talk too so we didn't have to second guess. I hope the vets can up help x

She has many types of perches. She loves the rope perch the best. She is falling more since her nails were cut they are so short. She has been coming out more because she loves to stand on the sofa pillows and look out the window or just for me to hold her which only tells me that she doesn't feel good. today she laid down under my neck and slept she didn't want to go back in her cage. i will look into a flat perch as well. Tomorrow I am going to go buy foam to put that the bottom of the cage about 3" so that she is not falling so far..

I thought she might have. My two like the rope perch best too. The foam sounds. I love the image of a little budgie on the top of the sofa looking out of the window. I do hope she improves. Xx
