The break was about here, just above the elbow: He can curl his toes; I have seen him do it around a piece of string, for goodness' sake, so I am quietly confident that given time he will not be affected by it at all.

I should also mention that beside an hour thereabouts in the large cage with the others, he is still restricted to the small one, with one perch down low and another up a little higher. I have put a swing in for him as well, but it is hooked onto a piece of string to bring it lower down, but the other side of that is that the swing wriggles, as well as swings when he gets on, but I figure this is all good balance work for him. He does occasionally over-shoot the mark when landing on a perch, and to prevent him jarring his leg, he still has his sheet over the bottom of the cage. ......... and a seed pot on the floor of the cage as well, although I think he would now be fine with one hanging off the sides. Every morning I take the sheet out and shake off the day's poop, turn it around to a clean side, and start afresh, and give thanks that it isn't Sparky who is confined to a small cage - he would be a mental case by now and/or have escaped at least a dozen times! Even though Spyro and I went through many sessions of head scratches when he was unable to do for himself (I do have a rather wonky 3 min video of him enjoying one), now he is back on two feet, and no more pinnies for the time being, I have been made redundant - I am tolerated for only a few seconds now. Fickle birdie!

Not daft are they? Use the human only when necessary.

Still, rehabilitation is a good thing tho IMO - as you dont want him taking on too much too soon
