Well it's not actualy his bum but rather what come's out of it. First the background, as some of you know i recently lost two remarkable little mates Rocky and Skipper. I began to think that i'd some sort of epidemic on my hands or somthing i was doing wrong because first poor Rocky died, suddenly 10 days later Skipper followed him then 11 days after that Jaffa next doors Canary dies and he'd been stopping at my house for a week between Rocky going and Skipper following him on the face of it it seems very suspisious however add to that Sparky survived and he'd been exposed to both Skipper and Jaffa and then factor in the fact that Jaffa died of some sort of open wound and the vet had to put him to sleep. Skipper was an i'll bird anyway and had had to fight every day from being hached and although i can't prove it i'm shure that he died of a broken heart. As i look back now i'm sure that was the case because after Rocky went he never stoped looking for him then i think he just stopped fighting or not fighting so hard poor Skipper.
Anyhow no epidemic i bought Sparky shortly after Rocky died hopefully to be a new mate for Skipper as things turned out thay only met briefly. But Sparky lives on and seems to be in the best of health. He's only 5 months old and quite attractive the breeder i got him from shows them. He's got a yellow face black and white/yellow wings and his body fades from a mid blue through to black at the tip of his tail. But this isnt about him it's Blue or Bluey now he's a rescue bird a lovly little thing about 1.5 years but he's been passed from pillar to post over the last i dont know 3-4 months i'm hopeing that his problems are caused by stress. His symtoms are he's not quite as active but not bad realy overall he looks good but his poo is lumpy and sticky, it clings to his feathers his back is slightly fluffed up between his wings. He's eating and drinking i dont know how long he's been like this as i've only had him since monday when my ex girlfriend brought him round whilst i was out and plonked him next to Sparky. I'd told her to keep him as long as possable and then he needs to go in a different room but no she's moving house and she thought a friend would be good for him. Silly c@* might have killed em both but the damage is done. Last week whilst Blue was still at my ex's i took him to the vet apart from saying his bum looked a bit sore she said he looked fine but persribed the inevertable baytril he's had 5 days of that now but it dosnt seem to have made any difference, i'm putting some protexin in his water (it's the good bacteria apantly) and hopeing this helps, and i'm thinkink about A C V. But as far as i can tell he's been through alot of bad treatment. he was an old ladys but she got a bit of dementure and couldnt remember if she'd fed him so her dauter took him but she had cats that where consantly trying to get him then the daughter's daughter had him but she to had cats so he was kept upstairs shut in a room alone oh then her kids kept knocking his cage over and broke all his toys playing with them. The her boyfriend had him he too has cats and children so the same there. Then his mother my ex has him but then he's looked after okay but just left alone alot. And so now its my turn and we'll see what a little t l c can do. He's very timid but seems to be very intrested in Sparky and vice versa, and i'd just got Sparky finger trained and also landing on my finger when free flying, Thats all gone now Blue's hear. But i'll soon turn that around i'm trying to let Bluey settle in but as thay can see each outher thay spend alot of time clinging to the cage bars looking at one another only time will tell i think i've done everything i can but as useual i welcome any thoughts and advice anyone can give me. I never thought i'd be intruduceing new birds in this section and i dont want to be looking at the spade again so soon so please any help you can give, me well Bluey and Sparky realy will be most gratfuly accsepted. Thanks
