I think we can say that our budgies are safe from our tidgy spiders. If that spider in the link ate the snake then it wouldn't need to eat for the rest of the year, would it?

i saw another HUGE one run in front of me last night.. couldnt find it.... so am on watch today, no barefoot for me..

I once saw a spider heading for my bare foot and it just turned an ran like a bat out of hell.

i know it's illogical to be scared but i am... i just hate seeing them scuttling out of the corner of my eye and the thought it's in my bedroom, possible AGH and UGH

Was sat there watching TV the other night round the MIL and one decided to do the London Marathon across the carpet! I am not sure it what it was running from as we were all too comfy to go and chase it!!! It was rather...big tho

I found mine, I spotted something on the carpet half under the lounge doorframe.. and yup - it is now gone! hurrah..

Oh I just posted probably in the wrong place! about a huge spider in our sitting room this morning, Mischief was watching it (on the ceiling) like a .....hawk.....budgie really cute. I got the broom and gave it one, then it fell to the floor so two more hits with the broom and one dead spider. I'd like to say Mischief was relieved but it's hard to tell Sid didn't even notice until I started hitting the ceiling Another one bites the dust. I read an interesting titbit in my Woman's magazine today, wonder if anyone else had heard of this. Conkers.....gather conkers and place them in your house, they keep spiders away! Trouble is round here, finding a conker tree! Also good as moth repellent if put in drawers it said.

Yes app conkers do stop them and I don't have a tree either
I couldn't have used a broom in case when it fell, it ran. Hoover works every time

Hoover works every time Thats what my daughter said, she was tryinng to imagine me with my new friend (walking stick) plus the broom and asked why I didn't use the hoover.....can't though, easier to batter the blighter to death
