Hi and welcome to the forum Could I draw you attention to the metal coin hanging at the top of the cage this could be bad news for budgies, they enjoy licking and picking metal objects and this causes heavy metal poisoning the only safe metal for cage birds is stainless steel. Sounds as if you are in for a lot of fun with all those budgies, need some photos when you have time

Thank you I found that out last night and removed it already. I would never want them sick for anything! My boys are so excited for the new additions to our house!! Thank you for the well wishes and I do feel like part of the family.

I am so happy to have found this forum. I have learned so much in so little time, it makes me happy! now a question, my chics are almost ready to leave the box,( they are beautiful just to tell you) when they finally come out for good, can I leave them in the same cage for a little bit ( only 1/2 weeks) til I can get them their own cage? Or do I need to move them ASAP? I read you can leave them as long as you remove the nesting box. I hope so as rescuing does not mean I was fully equipped to handle going from 0 to 7 budgies in a week! I am working hard to make sure they are going to be healthy and happy , but it is going to take a little time to get everything I need. Any info you can give me will help and I have been reading all the posts I can. Thank you again for all the warm welcomes and good feedback.
