Oh how sweet! They are really young. I'm going to have a wild guess but I think you are right, yellow a girl and blue a boy could be totally wrong though! Is this the first time you have had budgies? You will learn loads on the forum. There's lots of really good information on everything from food, toys, dos and donts, everything really! I hope you don't mind me saying but those sanded perch covers aren't good for their little feet The pet shops don't tell you that and they continue to sell them, but they can cause really bad sores and aren't comfy for them. Best thing is natural wooden ones as these keep their claws trim and are comfortable for them. You can buy them from stores or online and normal newspaper on the bottom of cage is better than the sandpaper too Look forward to hearing more of your budgies antics and photos of them!

Thank you so much! I noticed they were stretching their feet a lot and I wondered if something was wrong. These are our firsts so we are really excited! What makes you think Doc is a boy?

Can you take pictures in natural light without a flash? They are very cute little babies.

It is really difficult to get good photos without using a flash, particularly when they are so new to you, but some closer, focused on the cere photos would be good. I am inclined to agree with skysmum, but sitting on the fence until some better photos are up. Are you going to allow the wings to grow back? I see Evie's wings are clipped, so presume Doc's are too. It would be really good if you did; birds are meant to fly ........ that's why God gave them wings. As for them stretching their legs, they will do this anyway, especially after sitting still for a while. Quite often they will stretch the wing and leg on the same side and then change over to the other side.
