I am no good at the gender thing but i am strongly of the opinion that they are both sweeties and it is lovely to see them so happily sitting on your hands like that.

Thank you for your opinions! They are so different looking that I'm thinking they have to be opposite gender but who knows! In a few months I will ha. And thank you birdhguhl! I've been working with them since the day I got them. The reason I'm worried about them being opposite sex is because I read somewhere that when they get old enough to breed they'll be so into each other that they won't want anything to do with me anymore :/

You seem to have 2 accounts in different names. I take it you are the same person?

I've been working with them since the day I got them. The reason I'm worried about them being opposite sex is because I read somewhere that when they get old enough to breed they'll be so into each other that they won't want anything to do with me anymore :/ That can be a problem regardless of whether they are opposite sex or not. As long as you keep working with them both you should be okay, but really it only stands to reason that a budgie will want to be with another budgie rather than a person. They can bond just as strongly with their own sex, regardless.
