Hello everyone, I am thinking of getting a new cage/indoor aviary for my two birds as they are still not even close to being tame and I am worried about them being stuck in a cage all the time I'd like them to have some flight time. Anyway, the biggest cages I have found are these ones; I I personally like the Delfi one best, as its the biggest my birds currently live in a Hagen Medium cage. Whats everyone else's thoughts?

Go for the biggest cage you, your budget and your space can cater for.

Please also bear in mind that birds tend not to fly vertically, so get a cage that is wider rather than taller to give them room to fly from one side to the other. I can totally recommend the Ferplast Piano 6, I have this type and have four budgies in it. They also get 'out' time.

We have the Ferplast 6 for four buds so they will have plenty of room if you choose this option

I have the Ferplast Piano 7, it is huge. Plenty of room for 2, 3 or 4 budgies.

Are you handy with tools at all? My husband is making one for me. There are lots of things to be careful about (such as the wire can't have zinc in it and such), but Pinterest has some awesome ideas.

Cool was that cage formerly a wardrobe as we actually have a doorless one on the 1st floor landing I'll put some pics of it up. Also is that a tortoise I see in the lower part of it?

Hi! Yes, it IS a converted TV cabinet, but my I'm sorry for being unclear: my husband hasn't made me a cage yet. I got those from Pinterest by searching "DIY birdcage armoire". I do know, however, that the person who made it did so from a converted TV cabinet. My husband is going to make one in the near future (or so he promises)! I know the wire used on that converted TV cabinet is called "hardware cloth" here in the states. I think it has another name in the UK.
