Greetings..... I have had a week off work to hopefully make a start with the build, had to do a bit of shower dodging but have managed to do a bit got the sleepers a while ago so first thing was to get them leveled up. Area on the right is for the new shed, if I have got it right I should be able to fit a 6 X 6 pent there. The left is the flight area. The sun will always be at the rear as we have a south facing garden so hopefully the buds will have plenty of light but not get too hot. In between the showers I have so far done this pic took late last night so sorry if a bit dark Just been on to local gravel supplier and ordered 1 ton 20mm limes stone to back fill behind the flight up to the fence , need to finish the door panel off and fit the locks. The panel at the rear of the flight will be solid, am using shiplap t&g for that, the main frame is 3 X 2 which has been bolted to the sleepers...can't believe the cost of wood though it has certainly gone up since the last time I built anything like this...lol Got the mains cable in just behind the flight / fence using swa that has ben extended from the other shed so elctrics all sorted. Next work will probably be done easter week as I have got another 2 weks off, hopefully get the shed down then and will just be tidying everything up. thanks for looking in cheers Steve

That's looking great. Can I just make a suggestion? That you add a safety porch. It would prevent any birds escaping when you enter.

Greetings......thanks for all the comments ...much appreciated... Weather today in Chester ...sun is cracking the flags...bit cold so got my thermals on...lol Today is the last one I have available so will be one last effort to finish the flight, need to cut the excess mesh and generally tidy it up, fit the roof which will be corrigated clear plastic to let as much light in as possible, finish the rear side of the flight and get everything painted up...then after lunch... Have a great day everyone and catch up later.... cheers Steve

A good job done so far. It does look better when things start taking shape. It's no good saying you are getting too old.You are too old when you need someone to help you up from bending down.

Wow, that's fantastic, you have worked hard, i didn't realise that you were building the shed from scratch too . Its going to be great . Cost soon runs away doesn't it, its all the little bits that mount up . We had the freak hail storm too, enough to stop anything i think. You will be glad to get back to work for a rest . Well done.
