hello guys i have a few questions id like to ask. i have 3 female and 2 male budgies ....
1) 2 of my budgies ceres are brown and crusty the females ... are they ready for breeding?
2) if they are ready .. are they old enough? they are only 9 month old and ive read in previous posts that young birds kick eggs out.
3) do i split 2 of the birds i want to breed up or do i leave them in the cage and put a breeding box in or something ?
4) i only want to breed one pair just to see how it is as ive never even thought about breeding my budgies up untill today when i noticed the ceres browner than ever and they are alot noisyer recently so thinking maybe the males want some humpy pumpy lol!
thanks , Scott

Rubbish , i pair hens up at 8 months , do make sure they are getting calcivite one week every month 3) do i split 2 of the birds i want to breed up or do i leave them in the cage and put a breeding box in or something ? Put your hens in a breeding cage with a nest box, 24 hours later add the male to the breeding cage4) i only want to breed one pair just to see how it is as ive never even thought about breeding my budgies up untill today when i noticed the ceres browner than ever and they are alot noisyer recently so thinking maybe the males want some humpy pumpy lol! This is a big mistake , with two pairs you have a foster pair if something goes wrongthanks , Scott good luck Scott

Post the pictures of the ceres. Most members can tell by looking at the ceres whether are not your males and females are in breeding condition.
