hi there i have a hen who lays eggs and rears young like shelling peas, just a thought is a five week break long enough for her to recover from 3 rounds 1st round only 2 raised out of 7 eggs then next 2 rounds of 7 five into the juniors first round and 5 in nest box 2 to hatch this round was thinking of taking her out for a break end of this month and pair her back up 2nd week in december ready for 2012 and my first british bs rings i am taking the plunge and getting serious in 2012

it really depends on the hen and her health, but I personally would give her around 6 months

ok thanks for the advice ,will stop her for at least 3 months then as she does recover very quickly will let you all know how she fairs regards gerwynmr2
