Hi Guys,
I'm living in Swansea, South Wales. After 22 years in the army, I've now become a Budgie fancier. I only have 3 pairs right now ,all BS registered from reputable breeders around South Wales. I've also joined BS and will join The local one soon.
I have a breeding pair on 4 fertile eggs and at day 18 so waiting for them to hatch any moment. If anyone local would like to offer some advice please get in touch. I will also be going to the local show in Morriston in June.
Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum. We don't seem to have many breeders around at the moment, there are some though. There are some facebook pages for breeders that might be able to help you. One is called Beginner & Novice Exhibition Budgerigar Group. Good luck with your eggs and your breeding journey, we'd love to see the babies when they hatch. And thanks for defending our country too.

Hi Mark. I currently have one pair breeding and whilst I'm nowhere near an expert I do have some knowledge of breeding what advice were you looking for?

Afternoon guys, first egg of four firtile hatched last nigh 2000hrs, I'm not being over keen just leaving them too it, for now ish. I'm just tapping on the door and having a look, as soon as it starts to get messy I'll get involved. This is all brand new to me, a few pics will follow as soon as I know everything is more than stable. I'm also new to this forum so please bear with me lol

Hello, Mark, and welcome to the forum. I know nothing about breeding, but I do love photos of the babies growing up. Be sure to keep us posted. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum Mark... nice to hear from someone in the Swansea area too. I have relatives near Neath and at Fforestfach so Morriston is not far away. There seem to be quite a few budgie breeders in your area. Hope the egg hatching and chick rearing is going smoothly.
My single breeding pair are on their second clutch having just produced two young from their first clutch so I'm keen to see how your two get on.
Good luck.

Hi friendly fallow
managed to successfully pair from show stock but they only had four eggs. One egg hatched but died within 2 days, one was infertile and the other stopped developing at some stage. The last egg hatched 22 May so 3 weeks tomorrow and is doing really well. Still unsure what colour it will be.
hopefully upload some pictures as soon as u figure out how.
