hi all i have a hen that has just started her second brood and i found the male dead tonight question : would the hen be able to sit on these, look after her self and bring them up? i also have 2 other hens down that are constantly in the nest box"s which havnt laid yet what im asking would it be possible to put these eggs under a hen and would they sit on them? it would be a shame to have to throw these eggs as the male was a nice looking bird

Good luck with her, Darren. There are many people here who are more than happy to share their experiences, isn't it great? Hope the hen is a good mother.

Good luck Darren I am sure she will do great. As others said, give her plenty of food, preferably soft-food.
