Caught the chooks enjoying some sun. Bracken seems to have taken it up a level and has collapsed on an upturned cage bottom.

Ah that's lovely starlingqueen. Have they shown any differences or missed Willow at all? There have been a few changes in them, yes. When one is in the nest box the other makes a heck of a din, panicking because she is all alone. And I've heard Fern, top chook, making a strange cooing sound, like a dove, in response to bracken calling her when she's laying. Never heard a chicken make a noise like it before.

Yes, I get this din when one is in the nest basket. I have to go out and talk to her and just potter about a bit and she settles (whichever one it is!)I also get the cooing sounds, but at different times, whether laying or otherwise, not sure what the reason for this is.
