Hello everyone, I am new to the site so please bear with me....I have a little girl who will be 2 in August, from the minute I got her she was very very tame....she has no problem with people, and she quite happy being close to people. She hates my partner though which I find very amusing....she will come everywhere with me on my shoulder, even in the bath, but she will not let me touch her at all.....not even a head rub. When I get her out of her cage she will jump on my hand, and when I need her to go back in her cage she jumps back on my hand and goes in without a scene.....I would love to be able to stroke her head or her belly....any tips on how I can achieve this ? xx

No; really there is nothing you can do about it. Most budgies don't like being touched; some will allow you to give them a rub about the head, particularly when they have pin feathers they can't reach to give a good scratch, and even the most tame of budgies will only allow touching ON THEIR TERMS. Will she give you kisses? Silly question - looks like she is doing that in your avatar ...... be thankful for that and make the most of it. You can't push them to do something you want if they don't. The best you might be able to do is get her to allow you to give her a kiss on her belly. Mine know they have to accept the kiss before they are allowed out to play every morning ..... a kiss on the way out, and a kiss on the way back in at night. Is Betty a nipper?
