Found a lovely budgie yesterday. Hope its owner will read this and want it back as I don't really want to keep it. Any advise on what to do with it if nobody claims it is welcome. Many Thanks Ellen 07846440369

Hopefully someone will see this or Matt's gumtree add and Mick's suggestion of using the radio stations does work sometimes. How about fliers up at the local stores? He may not have travelled too far. Good luck finding his owner, sav, and good on you for making the effort to find them - some wouldn't have bothered.

Well done, Matt. I hope the "lost" owner really is this ones owner. Be nice to see a reunion. I get a little cross with people who "adopt" other people's pets without making any effort to find their rightful owner. Sav has done the right thing, for sure.

Turns out it wasn't the person's budgie that contacted me This post is on google now, if the owner had thought to turn to the internet I'd have thought they'd found this or the gumtree ad :\

Strange though it may be to you Matt, not everyone is connected to the internet. It may belong to some little old lady who is happy to not know how weird the world is. Fliers up around the general area are always good, especially around general stores, newsagents and the like.

Any news on the budgie's owner yet? Make sure that anyone who contacts you can describe the bird well, not just looking for a free Christmas present. Well done Sav, fingers crossed for a happy ending for this little one
