It is as wide as the existing one, allowing as much flight by width - but is is SO pretty and the OH can fit Perspex panels to the lower part to minimise mess (and reduce my need to hoover twice a day hehe). Overall, I just really, really like it, the reviews are good but I wondered if anyone else had it? My my buds are out each day from about 9am, after their first dose of UV, then in again of their own accord at about 6pm for their next dose. So the cage size doesn't really matter BUT I love this one, it would be a piece of furniture!

Wow, I have never seen one like that before so can't pass comment. It certainly looks the part.

I'm wondering what the dimensions are? Looks very long but not very wide? Probably wouldn't fit into my sitting room Nice piece of furniture though.

Looks great! Where did you find this? What are the dimensions? Is the frame made from wood?

Agree with milliej and Hezz it looks much taller than it is wide, also Wooden isn't a great choice for a cage. Is it from Zooplus?

It is wooden, I first found it on eBay but zoo plus have it a little cheaper. I had thought about the chewing aspect but discounted it as the buds only really sleep and feed in their cage. They have a room perch which has turned into a playground, a play gym on top of their cage alongside the daily bath (only used every three days or so) plus all the different household perches they use between flights (including the boings - now made safe thanks to Hezz ) It is nigh on the same width as the current cage, which is part of the appeal as it can stand in the same alcove, I know buds need width for flight and not height, but I am just thinking sleep time space must be a positive, plus I can fit more toys in for when they are occasionally cooped up for a few extra hours.

Just a thought about the width thing and flying. My buds fly up and down the cage, not just across. So if the perches can be spaced to accommodate an upward and or downward flight path then that should be fine I would think. It even has Edward making a flying leap sometimes, rather than climbing round the bars. I have seen the cage advertised on Zooplus.

As OP has said, and mine do as well. If the cage furniture is move to use up the space the birds will move with it all as well. The only issue I feel needs to be addressed is that they will all want to be on the same level for sleeping, and that is as high as your highest perch or swing. If you have swings, have them the same height, and also the top perches; have a couple the same height, especially if Bo is being a normal hen and wanting the best for herself.

Sid used to fly up and down, like a helicopter he'd hover too but my two youngsters just like to flit from one end of one cage to the other end of the other cage......more like jets
